Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a very special day. Of course mothers should be celebrated every day of the year we take this one day to spoil and pamper our Mums.
This year it was amazing cupcakes from Jonnie Cupcake and a special card.

Spring Has Sprung

Days are getting longer, birds are getting chirpier, sun is shining stronger, everything just seems brighter. And here's my "hello spring" card. I have a feeling there's more bright, colourful cards to come...

Vintage

I love anything vintage. They bring up some nostalgic feelings and memories of those days, when as a little girl I would go through my gradmas forgotten drawers and boxes in the attic and find many wonders. I especially liked a stash of greeting cards my grandma kept through her life.
Today I try to recreate the style of those cards. It is not easy to make a brand new card look old, yellowed and a little tired. Here are my attempts.

Lovey Dovey

Sometimes less really is more. This card is a perfect example.
I love those silver doves and I didn't want them to get lost amongst other embellishments. So I kept it simple and made the doves main focus (apart from the names of bride and groom of course - to be inserted instead of "bride" and "groom"). White feathers are also so cute and keep within the theme.
I'm sure this simple, yet elegant card would will make a nice keepsake for a special Mr and Mrs!

Special Birthday

What's better way to start a blog, than a special occasion. It's my sister's birthday today! I made a special effort making this card. She loves pink and sparkles, so I picked up some paper, glitter and rhinestones and let my imagination run wild! The result - bright, sparkly and delicate, just like the birthday girl herself ( btw her name is pronounced Asha).
It's what I call a wallet card. It does not open like e usual card, instead there is a slot at the top where a card for writing a message is placed. There's also a tag, so the card slides out easily. I find the front of cards I make gets a bit heavy with all the decorations, so I came up with more practical and quite unique solution (if I say so myself).
